Yellow gold
Yellow gold has been used for jewelry for hundreds of years. Gold is naturally yellow and by using alloys it is possible to achieve even pink or white gold.
- 24 karats = pure gold, too soft to be used for jewelry
22 karats = 91.7% gold, very soft, but can be used in some extension - 18 karats = 75.0% gold, perfect for jewelry
- 14 karats = 58.5% (58.3%) gold, perfect for jewelry
- 12 karats = 50.0% gold, not acceptable karat for gold jewelry
- 10 karats = 41.7% gold, not acceptable karat for gold jewelry
